Director, Sustainability and Agricultural Raw Materials department - Unione Italiana Food

Antonio Feola holds a Degree in Agricultural Sciences from the Università di Bologna (1993). He is currently the Director of the Sustainability and Agricultural Raw Materials Department at Unione Italiana Food and serves as the Deputy President of CONAI (National Packaging Consortium).
Antonio is the National Coordinator of the Durum Wheat Improvement Project, working with agricultural and industrial organizations in agreement with MIPAAF. He is also a member of the Technical Committee at MASAF (Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests), contributing to the Common Agricultural Policy.
As an author, Antonio has contributed to many associative guidelines on circular economy and sustainability, such as the Sector Sustainability Report (AIDEPI), studies on the valorization of production by-products, and the energy efficiency of production processes.
He is responsible for managing the associative database on agricultural commodities, which includes studying agricultural markets, commodity availability, and pricing. Antonio is also a member of the Sustainable Development Commission at the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of the Territory and the Sea.
From 2014 to 2018, Antonio served as the President of the Italian Institute of Packaging.
