Francesco Mutti was born in 1968 in Parma. He graduated in Finance & Management from Cardiff University and has been the CEO of Mutti SpA, a leading family-owned company in Europe in the tomato derivatives market, for 30 years. In 2017, Francesco Mutti was appointed Knight of Labour by the President of the Republic, and since 2018, he has been the President of Centromarca.
