Botta
General Manager, Ferrero Hazelnut Company
Marco Botta is the General Manager of the Ferrero Hazelnut Company, a division of the Group with more than 3.000 people across 9 countries, involved in all the aspect of the hazelnut value chain, from the farmers to the industrial processing. After graduating from Politecnico di Torino with a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Marco spent the first 12 years of his career in business consulting. After an initial experience in Accenture, Marco joined Bain & Company where he successfully managed broad Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, IT and Organization projects for key international customers.
He joined Ferrero in 2011 in Italy, as leader of the corporate structure transformational program. In 2015, following the successful completion of the assignment, he moved to the Ferrero corporate headquarters in Luxembourg, leading media strategy and procurement in Europe.
In 2018, he was charged with establishing the Media Procurement & Governance function for the Ferrero Group, directly leading the related activities in more than 70 countries.
At the same time, reporting to the CEO of the Group, Marco was appointed as Operational Excellence Manager. In this role, he successfully designed and delivered a three-year holistic efficiency program, together with key global operational excellence initiatives enabling the acceleration of growth.
In 2022 he was appointed as General Manager of the Ferrero Hazelnut Company, with the key objective of continuing the creation of sustainable value for all the stakeholders involved in the hazelnut value chain.
Married with two children, in his private life he is actively involved with NGOs supporting child education in developing countries.
