Naci Inci

Rector, Boğaziçi University

Prof. Dr. M. Naci Inci currently serves as the Rector of Boğaziçi University, Istanbul. He received his BSc from Marmara University (1987) and his PhD in physics from Heriot-Watt University, UK (1993). From 1993 to 1994, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Stanford University’s Electrical Engineering Department.
He joined Boğaziçi University as an Assistant Professor in 1994 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1996. After serving as a faculty member at Sabancı University from 1999 to 2005, he returned to Boğaziçi University as a Professor of Physics. He served as the Head of the Physics Department for five years between 2013 and 2021.
Beyond his university leadership, Prof. İnci is a Board Member of Turkcell and TÜBİTAK, and a Council Member of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University. He has also held visiting academic appointments at institutions including Stuttgart University, Gunma University, Norwegian Technical University, and Heriot-Watt University.
